About us

With our first baby, I was that mum. Meal prepping, hardcore baby-led weaning and a freezer stacked with blended portions. But let’s be honest: half of those portions ended up as freezer fossils or on the floor. Then we had another baby, and life got busier. We were getting out more, and honestly, I could not be bothered with the mess of full-time baby-led weaning (and you can’t be doing that in a restaurant or on a plane) but I still wanted to feed my kids fresh food.

Instead of making baby food separately, I bought a baby food mill from Japan to make tiny portions of whatever we were eating. It worked really well at home, but I wanted something I could carry in my bag and use on the go, without looking like I was doing a science experiment.

Enter Smooshi: a travel-sized purée sieve and pot that lets you skip the prep, share real food with your baby, and get on with life. It’s compact, easy to clean, and perfect for people like us who want to travel, camp, and eat out without carting around a giant bag of baby stuff.
